NDC Election: Anatu Bogobiri Esq. calls for decorum, respect, and focus on bigger picture ahead of 2028 General Elections

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq., has urged aspirants in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency and Regional Executive Elections to reach out to all delegates rather than limit their campaigns to established political camps.

In a goodwill message to aspirants, Madam Bogobiri said winning internal party elections required candidates to broaden their appeal and avoid positions that could alienate sections of the delegates.

“Respectfully, let’s remember that elections are about numbers. To win, you must appeal to ALL delegates, not just a few,” she said.

She acknowledged that candidates could have their respective camps but cautioned them against allowing internal alliances to become a barrier to wider engagement.

“Yes, you may have your camps – that is part of politics – but do not take entrenched positions that alienate others. Be appealing to everyone,” she added.

According to Madam Bogobiri, leadership should be anchored in sacrifice, responsibility and integrity, particularly during internal party contests.

She also encouraged aspirants to conduct their campaigns with decorum and respect while keeping the broader interests of the party in mind.

“Let us contest with decorum, respect, and focus on the bigger picture which is 2028 general elections,” she said.

The NDC is preparing for Constituency and Regional Executive Elections to elect party officials at the grassroots and regional levels. The internal elections are expected to shape the party’s organisational structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Madam Bogobiri’s message focused on broad delegate engagement and responsible campaigning as aspirants compete for positions within the party.
