NPP government is the ‘biggest political scam’ – Mahama

The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama says the governing New Patriotic Party is the biggest political scam since independence.
“We cannot fail Mother Ghana, and therefore I urge you all to vote for change on December 7th, 2024,” Mr. Mahama stated during the NDC manifesto launch in Winneba over the weekend.
According to him, the Akufo-Addo’s administration is “decimating democracy beyond recognition.”
The former President stated the NPP administration has also brought economic hardship on families and livelihoods, forcing millions of Ghanaians into poverty.
Mr. Mahama promised that his election would end “tyranny, cronyism, corruption, and hardship” and bring about a new era of leadership.
Mr. Mahama further criticized the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration, describing it as the “biggest political scam” in Ghana’s history. He asserted that their promises were repackaged with empty eloquence and enticing promises that they have failed to deliver. Mahama claimed that most Ghanaians agree that Nana Akufo-Addo is the “President Ghana never got.”
Mahama also targeted Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, calling him the “economic messiah Ghana never got.” As the current government’s term comes to an end, Mahama urged them to start preparing their handover notes. He pledged to bring back credibility and vision to the Flag Staff House if elected.
Mahama emphasized his experience and trustworthiness, promising to bring a new vision to the Flag Staff House. He encouraged Ghanaians to exercise their democratic rights and vote for change on December 7, 2024.
