This year’s celebration marks a major milestone in recognizing excellence in Ghanaian sports journalism and athletic achievement.
The SWAG Awards, regarded as Ghana’s longest-running sports recognition event, will celebrate outstanding athletes, teams, and sports contributors who have made significant impacts on the country’s sporting landscape.
Awards to be presented on the night include Footballer of the Year, Club of the Year, Boxer of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Referee of the Year, among others.

Media organizations such as Ignite Media, GTV Sports+, Multimedia Group, Happy FM, Sporty FM, and the EIB Network are providing coverage and promotion ahead of the awards night.
The Golden Jubilee edition is expected to draw prominent personalities from sports, business, and government circles, underscoring the importance of sports journalism to Ghana’s development.
Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff at the Jubilee House, will be the special guest of honour.
His participation reflects the government’s appreciation of the critical role of sports and journalism in national development.
Mr. Debrah has been actively involved in several sports-related events since assuming office in January, including leading health walks and participating in fitness programmes.
