Trump warns of ‘hell’ on Tuesday if Iran doesn’t open Strait of Hormuz

American President, Donald J. Trump, has warned Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences on Tuesday.
In a strongly worded social media post on Easter Sunday, Trump declared: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran.”
He added, “There will be nothing like it. Open the f**** Strait or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!”
The remarks come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which began on February 28, 2026.
The Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil transit route, has effectively been shut to most maritime traffic by Iran as part of its retaliation strategy.
The narrow channel is responsible for transporting nearly 20 percent of the world’s oil supply, making the blockade a major concern for global markets.
Iran’s actions followed the assassination of Ali Khamenei during initial strikes, after which the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that no vessels would be permitted to pass.
Since then, Iran has reportedly launched drone and missile attacks on at least 21 merchant ships and has begun deploying naval mines within the waterway to enforce the blockade.
Tehran is using the closure as leverage, demanding an end to military operations on its territory before reopening the route.
However, reports indicate that a limited number of vessels from countries deemed “non-hostile,” including China, India, and Turkey, have been allowed passage, sometimes under special conditions, including the payment of transit fees.
Trump’s latest comments signal a possible escalation, with his warning suggesting imminent action if Iran fails to comply.
The situation continues to draw global attention as fears grow over potential disruptions to energy supplies and further military confrontation.
