VIDEO: ‘I have the 8 now, I dare you to break it’ – Mahama to NPP

Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to come for the 8 and break it as they have pontificated.
The governing NPP has been preaching to Ghanaians that they will break the 8-year tenure of the two main political parties since the inception of the fourth republic by having a third term in office in the 2024 election.
However, the recent balloting for the presidential candidates for the impending election had the NDC picking the 8the positions.
Addressing a rally at Shaibu Community in Ablekuma West, the NDC flag bear declared “I have the 8 now, I dare you to break it”.
“We’re going to break the 8th. Things are going to change,” Mahama assured, emphasizing that the NDC is poised for victory. “They said they were going to break the 8th. Unfortunately for them, the 8th is with me. I care about the 8, I am holding the 8. Let them come to me and ask for the 8th to break.”
Mahama stressed that breaking the 8th signifies an end to eight years of corruption, eight years of economic mismanagement, eight years of impunity, and eight years of arrogance.
Confidently, Mahama declared, “And so I have the 8th. And NDC is going to win. 7 December 2024 with number 8th position on the ballot.”
He emphasized that the NDC has capable men and women to repair Ghana’s economy, acknowledging “It’s going to be difficult. It’s not going to be easy.”
