Bawumia’s joke comment: Ghanaians need a visionary leader, Mahama –Apaak

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak stated that the people of Ghana need a visionary leader, John Mahama to deal with the challenges of the nation.
This comes on the back of the flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia backtracking on his incentive comment for Churches in the country while speaking at Techiman in the Bono Region on Friday, May 10, 2024.
According to him, he is not in favor of churches paying taxes and the government should rather give them some incentives.
The NPP’s flag bearer has backtracked on his comment adding that it was a joke.
Commenting on the development, the Builsa South lawmaker stated that Ghanaians are looking for a serious and decisive leader who can fix the nation’s challenges.
“Now is no time to consider a comical lair. A joker at this time, certainly not.
“With the serious challenges that we are confronted with as a nation, we need a serious, focused, visionary, sincere, and honest leader. This leader is John Dramani Mahama, who is the man to deal with our challenges, not a joker,” Dr. Apaak stated.
