One dead, three injured in fatal crash on Akyem Oda–Nkwanta road

A tragic road accident on the Akyem Oda–Nkwanta road has claimed the life of Kofi Nti and left three injured.
The deceased is said to be the aide to the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency, Alexander Akwasi Acquah.
The fatal crash occurred on Saturday, May 16, when Kofi Nti and three others were travelling in a Nissan Navara 4×4 pickup vehicle with registration number GT 2639-24 to Oda Nkwanta.
The team was reportedly on its way to help address controversies surrounding the ongoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling station elections in the area.
Reports indicated that the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision, leaving Kofi Nti dead at the scene.
The three other occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service responded to the scene and transported the injured victims to the hospital.
The death of Kofi Nti has thrown the Akim Oda Constituency into mourning, with many party supporters and residents expressing shock over the tragic incident.
The accident also adds to the increasing number of fatal road crashes involving notable personalities in the Eastern Region in recent weeks.
Among recent victims was Anim Kenneth, former Eastern Regional Coordinator of the Free SHS Secretariat, who was known for his role in political coordination in the region
