Julius Kwame Anthony appointed NDC Deputy Communications Director

Julius Kwame Anthony has been appointed a Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and named among the party’s official voices for matters concerning the organisation.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was approved by the party’s Functional Executive Committee at a meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
In a press release signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC said the decision was part of efforts to strengthen its communications machinery, enhance public engagement and improve how it presents its policies and programmes.
The party said Mr Anthony’s understanding of communication and its strategic application would support its efforts to explain its vision and policy direction to the public.
It expressed confidence that he would work collaboratively with the Communications Directorate and other relevant structures to advance the party’s communication objectives.
The statement further announced that Mr Anthony would serve alongside Godwin Ako Gunn and Kakra Essamuah as one of the NDC’s official contacts for party-related matters.
“The general public and the media are hereby informed that Messrs. Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah, and Julius Kwame Anthony are the voices of the NDC and the contact persons to reach for any matters regarding the Party.”
The party called on print, electronic and digital media organisations, as well as other stakeholders, to take note of the appointment and accord Mr Anthony the necessary recognition in the performance of his duties.
The Functional Executive Committee congratulated him and wished him success in his new position.
The appointment forms part of the NDC’s stated effort to improve public engagement and communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of the party and its government under President John Dramani Mahama.
The party says the expanded communications role is expected to help deepen public understanding of its policy direction, particularly within the framework of the Reset Agenda.
