2024 polls: Bawumia, NPP must be punished for their ‘crime’ against Ghanaians – Dr. Apaak

The Member of Parliament Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak says the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumi, and his party must be punished in the 2024 general election.
In a tweet, the Builsa South lawmaker explained that figures on the prices of goods during the era of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were far better than the NPP government.
He further stated that even cedi depreciation under the NDC was very low as compared to NPP with Dr. Bawumia as the head of the Economic Management Team.
“How can anyone claim that the conditions of Ghanaians are better today compared to 2016? By what method does anyone conclude that 4.80ghc to 1 USD is worse than 15ghc to 1 USD? A tuber of yam sells at 40ghc today, and you say we are better off compared to when it was 5ghc?” Dr Apaak quizzed.
The Builsa South lawmaker further stated Ghanaians cannot keep quiet on the abysmal performance of the NPP administration.
“You are busy selling state and public assets to yourselves, and you say we should be quiet? You give senior citizens crude haircuts, and you want to stay in power? Indeed, DMB and the NPP must be punished for their crimes against Ghanaians”, he added.
