Ewura Adams Karim promises faster fact-based responses to opposition propaganda

Ewura Adams Karim has pledged to establish a stronger rapid-response communication system within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to counter opposition propaganda with facts and figures if elected Deputy National Communications Officer.
Karim said the party needed a more responsive communication structure capable of addressing false claims quickly and presenting its positions with clarity and confidence.
“As Deputy National Communications Officer, I pledge a stronger, faster rapid-response capacity, so that falsehoods are answered within hours with facts and figures,” he said in his declaration speech.
He argued that the NDC needed communicators who could defend the party’s record without resorting to insults or unnecessary confrontations.
According to him, effective political communication should be based on evidence, timely responses and the ability to explain the party’s policies and achievements convincingly.
“Not with insults, but with facts. Not with noise, but with proof. Quickly, calmly and with confidence,” Karim said, outlining the approach he believes the party should adopt in responding to opposition criticism.
He added that the party must also communicate more effectively with Ghanaians who do not necessarily identify with the NDC but are interested in the country’s development.
Karim said communicators must be able to explain what the government and the party are delivering in a clear and compelling manner to attract undecided voters.
She further proposed the development of a pipeline of trained communicators in every region and constituency to strengthen the party’s capacity to respond to emerging political issues.
The proposed reforms also include a stronger digital presence aimed at reaching younger audiences while preserving the party’s founding principles.
Karim, who cited his experience in radio, television, community organising and political communication, said he was prepared to bring those skills to the party’s communication structure.
He maintained that effective communication would require a combination of speed, credibility and unity as the NDC continues to communicate its policies and defend its record in government.
