Not even A4 sheets, pens have been changed in my office – Sammy Gyamfi

The Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), Sammy Gyamfi, has strongly denied allegations that he spent GHS173,940 on new office furniture and renovations.
According to Gyamfi, the claims are “totally false” and part of a deliberate disinformation campaign by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Gyamfi emphasized that he has made no changes to his office since assuming office on January 20, 2024. “All the things in my office, including chair, desk, fridge, etc. were there before I assumed office. Not even the A4 sheets or pens on my office desk have been changed,” he stated.
The PMMC boss attributed the allegations to “desperate” factions within the NPP, who are still reeling from their historic electoral defeat. Gyamfi urged the public to be cautious of fake news and to verify information before accepting it as true.
“The general public is humbly entreated to be on the lookout for fake news from the desperate NPP. Kindly double-check claims made by their communicators and social media surrogates, lest you fall prey to their deliberate disinformation narratives,” he cautioned.
The allegations against Gyamfi come at a time when the NPP is trying to reorganize itself after its electoral defeat. The party has been accused of spreading misinformation and propaganda to discredit the current administration. Gyamfi’s denial of the allegations is consistent with his commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
As the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gyamfi has been a strong advocate for truth and accuracy in public discourse. His statement on the allegations against him is a testament to his commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in public office.
