President-elect of the Private Online and Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG), David Tamakloe, has pledged to work closely with members of the association to diversify revenue channels and strengthen the association’s role within the country’s media space.
In a statement celebrating his victory, the Managing Editor of Whatsup News assured members of his readiness to lead with dedication and hard work, stressing that the new leadership would focus on building a unified association while pursuing initiatives that bring tangible benefits to media owners.
“Our commitment is unwavering, and we pledge dedicated service to enhance the prosperity of PRINPAG. Our focus is on fostering a unified leadership and association, aiming to bolster our presence and diversify revenue streams for the benefit of our members and their institutions,” he said.
Mr. Tamakloe emphasized the importance of collaboration, noting that his administration would seek stronger partnerships with sister organizations, government, and corporate bodies to promote, protect, and preserve media freedom and free speech in Ghana.
He also called on both elected executives and former contestants to contribute their expertise and ideas as the association enters a new phase of leadership.
The president-elect further paid tribute to the founding fathers of PRINPAG, assuring them that his team would uphold the trust reposed in them and work to advance the ethos of journalism practice in Ghana.
Founded in July 1991, PRINPAG aims to serve the best interests of democracy and press freedom in Ghana through online and print news publications.
