Dzata Cement warns public over suspected fake products

Dzata Cement Limited has cautioned the public about fake Dzata cement products being advertised on the building materials market.
It brand has therefore called on the public to be vigilant following the circulation of a viral video alleging tampering with some of its cement products.
The company clarified that preliminary checks suggest some Dzata-branded bags circulating on the market may have been altered after leaving its production facility.
In a statement issued by management, Dzata Cement assured customers that all products leaving its factory meet strict quality standards and undergo thorough checks before distribution. The company stressed that it does not compromise on quality and is taking steps to address the situation.
“Our investigations indicate that certain Dzata-branded bags on the market have been tampered with. We want to assure our customers that Dzata Cement maintains the highest quality standards at our plant. We urge buyers to always purchase from authorized dealers and verify the authenticity of the products,” the statement said.
The fake Dzata Cement has compelled the company to take drastic actions aimed at preserving its brand identity and quality cement on the market.
Dzata Cement added that it is working closely with relevant authorities to trace the source of the alleged tampering and ensure those responsible are held accountable. Customers have also been encouraged to report any suspicious products to the company for verification.
The company warned that the circulation of counterfeit products poses risks to construction quality and consumer safety and emphasized its commitment to protecting customers and preserving the integrity of its brand.
Dzata Cement further indicated that new security measures will be introduced to make its products easier to authenticate, including enhanced packaging features and closer monitoring of distribution channels.

This development comes amid rising concerns in Ghana’s construction industry over the sale of substandard materials. Dzata Cement reassured the public that it remains committed to supplying high-quality cement to support the sector while working to safeguard customer trust.
The company called on stakeholders within the building and construction industry to join hands in combating the circulation of fake products to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained nationwide.
