Agona Nyarkrom Paramount Chief prays for NDC victory

The Paramount Chief of Agona Nyarkrom, Okofo Okatakyie Nyarko Eku X, has prayed for victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December elections, trusting in the capacity of the next NDC administration to effectively promote the development of Agona.
Okofo Eku, who gave his blessings when the NDC running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, called on him at his palace on Friday and said he desires development for his people and the area.
“May the light of God that grants victory, lead and grant you victory in the elections,” he said.
According to him, the high rate of youth unemployment and the poor state of roads are major concerns for the Nyarkrom Traditional Council, and urged the next NDC administration to address those challenges.
Addressing the Chiefs earlier, Prof Opoku-Agyemang assured the area of immense support when the NDC returns to power.
She expressed sadness that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has not added to the amenities the previous NDC government built in the area, but rather left projects to deteriorate, citing the deplorable road network in the area as an example.
She also assured the chiefs of peaceful elections, saying the NDC will rely on their partnership and wise counsel in executing the new development agenda when the party gains power in the December general elections.
