You are implementing ‘Agyapadie’ document – Mahama to Akufo-Addo-Bawumia

The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama, has indicated that the ‘Agyapadie’ in circulation is been implemented by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led administration.
The ‘Agyapadie’ document is alleged to have outlined plans by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to seize state assets.
According to Mr. Mahama, the document is a blueprint for state capture by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led government.
However, President Akufo-Addo has refuted claims in the document and described it as a fabrication designed to tarnish his political career.
Addressing a durbar with chiefs and queen mothers at the Bawku Naba Palace in the Upper East Region as part of his campaign tour, Mahama reiterated his commitment that he will make sure the appointees of the current government are held accountable.
“We need to hold this government accountable for the hardship and crisis that they subjected Ghana to, for the state capture that they have implemented in Ghana over the last eight years. They buy every state property, buy all the government lands, and amass wealth for themselves.
“Recently, there was an issue about a document called Agyapadie. They said it was fabricated. But even if it is fabricated, the implementation is not fabricated because everything that is written in that document has been implemented,” Mr. Mahama stated.
He further stated that “So if somebody sat and fabricated that document, then the person can read the minds of people. Because how they could have written that document and read the minds of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his family, that person is a proper creative writer. Because everything in that document has been implemented. And so the implementation cannot be fabricated.”
