Akosombo dam spillage: AEI lauds EC for free replacement of voter ID for victims

African Electoral Institute (AEI) has commended the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) for the free of charge replacement of the voter ID cards of the victims of the Akosombo Dam Spillage.
“AEI also appeals to the EC to further use its Mobile Team to reach communities that are far from its District Offices within the catchment areas especially the communities that are across the river for many voters to have access to the replacement exercise and this laudable offer by the EC,” the Institute disclosed in a statement.

AFRICAN ELECTORAL INSTITUTE (AEI) LAUDS THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF GHANA(EC) FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE VOTER ID CARDS FOR VICTIMS OF AKOSOMBO DAM SPILLAGE FREE OF CHARGE
African Electoral Institute (AEI) lauds the EC for the free of charge replacement of the voter ID cards of the victims of the Akosombo Dam Spillage in a statement issued by the EC on 29th May,2024 in fulfilment of its duty to ameliorate the economic loss suffered by the victims.
AEI also appeals to the EC to further use its Mobile Team to reach communities that are far from its District Offices within the catchment areas especially the communities that are across the river for many voters to have access to the replacement exercise and this laudable offer by the EC.
