Dr. Apaak wishes mum a happy birthday in emotional post

Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak has celebrated his mother, Madam Agnes Teni Azundem Apaak, on her 79th birthday with an emotional message.
A statement shared by Dr. Clement Apaak, Deputy Education Minister, expressed deep gratitude and affection as he marked the milestone occasion, praising his mother’s lifelong sacrifices and family role.
The message was shared as he stopped by to visit her on his way back to the national capital, reflecting a personal moment of family connection amid his official duties.
In the heartfelt tribute, Dr. Apaak said: “Madam Agnes Teni Azundem Apaak, you are 79 years old today.” He added, “On behalf of my siblings, your grandchildren and in-laws, I thank God for your life. We couldn’t have had a better mother than you. God bless and keep you.”
He also noted that the visit formed part of a brief stopover, allowing him to personally extend his wishes rather than relying solely on a written message.
The tone of the message underscored appreciation, family unity and gratitude for his mother’s longevity and guidance over the years.
Dr. Apaak’s tribute comes in a year marked by personal reflection for the family, following the burial of his father earlier this year.
At the time, he publicly praised his late father for the immense influence he had on his upbringing and personal development, describing him as a major pillar in shaping his values and outlook on life.
That earlier loss has placed even greater emphasis on the importance of cherishing surviving parental bonds.
In his birthday message, Dr. Apaak’s words also carried a tone of remembrance and continuity, as he reflected on the family’s journey through both celebration and grief. “We thank God for your life,” he reiterated, highlighting gratitude as a central theme of the message.
The Deputy Education Minister maintains strong ties with his extended family despite his public service responsibilities, often prioritising personal visits during key family milestones when possible.
The celebration of Madam Agnes Teni Azundem Apaak’s 79th birthday was therefore not only a family occasion but also a moment honouring a parental influence within the Apaak family.
