Mahama approves appointees to Prof. Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s office

President John Dramani Mahama has officially approved the appointment of a new team of experts to key positions in the Vice PresidentJane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s office.

The newly appointed individuals are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, contributing to the country’s overarching goal of building a better Ghana.

The full list of appointees includes seasoned professionals with diverse governance, policy development, administration, and social services backgrounds.

The following individuals have been appointed to the Office of the Vice President:

1. Alex Percival Segbefia – Chief of Staff to the Vice President
2. Mrs. Alberta Graham – Head of Administration
3. Professor Theresah Ennin – Presidential Staffer & Special Aide to the Vice President
4. Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias – Secretary to the Vice President
5. Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo – Policy Adviser, Political
6. Professor Sharif Mahmud Khalid – Policy Adviser, Economic
7. Dr. Hamza Zakaria – Policy Adviser, Finance
8. Ms. Mansa Amoa Awuah – Policy Adviser, Social Sector
9. Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu – Press Secretary
10. Maame Ama Pratt – Economic Policy Adviser

These appointments are designed to reinforce the Vice President’s ability to carry out the critical tasks of policy formulation, implementation, and national communication.

In a statement on Tuesday, January 28, President Mahama expressed confidence that the new team would bring fresh perspectives and a renewed sense of purpose to the Office of the Vice President.

“They are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles and contribute significantly to the Resetting Ghana agenda to build the Ghana we want,” the President said.

The Resetting Ghana agenda focuses on addressing the country’s pressing challenges and creating a framework for long-term growth and development. With these new appointments, the President aims to ensure that the Vice President’s office is equipped to lead this transformative journey.
