Mahama, Dr. Apaak to cut sod for multiple major educational projects in Builsa South

President John Dramani Mahama and Builsa South Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, are expected to cut the sod for key school projects in the area on Tuesday.
The sod-cutting ceremony, scheduled for April 7, 2026, is being organised by Dr. Apaak’s constituency office to mark the commencement of several educational infrastructure developments across the constituency.
The event will take place simultaneously across a number of communities, including Zamsa, Bachonsa, Kanjarga Nyansa, Nadema-Luisa, and Kanjarga, all within the Builsa South Constituency.

The projects form part of efforts to expand access to quality education and improve teaching and learning conditions in the area.
They include the construction of a district education complex for Kanjarga and the wider Builsa South area, as well as a two-unit kindergarten block.
Additional facilities earmarked for construction are multiple classroom blocks with attached 12-seater toilet facilities, including two separate three-unit classroom blocks and a six-unit classroom block.
A dining hall with an attached kitchen will also be built to support students’ feeding needs.
Residential infrastructure is also a key component of the initiative, with plans for two-storey dormitory blocks for both boys and girls.
A three-bedroom headmaster’s bungalow will also be constructed to accommodate school leadership.
The District Chief Executive for Builsa South, Ann Misah, is expected to attend the ceremony as a special guest, alongside other local authorities and stakeholders in the education sector.
The initiative is being undertaken under the broader theme of delivering quality education, transforming lives and building the future, reflecting government’s continued focus on strengthening the country’s education system through infrastructure development.
Residents and stakeholders in the beneficiary communities are expected to witness the ceremony, which begins at 8:00am, as officials outline the scope and expected impact of the projects on education delivery in the constituency.
