Mahama to support Islamic Colleges of Education

Islamic colleges of education play a crucial role in providing quality education to students who wish to pursue a career in teaching within an Islamic context. These institutions offer specialized training and education that is tailored to the needs of Muslim students, ensuring that they receive a comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings and values.
Furthermore, Islamic colleges of education help to preserve and promote Islamic culture and traditions within the education system. By incorporating Islamic teachings into the curriculum, these institutions help students develop a strong sense of identity and belonging within their faith community.
Additionally, Islamic colleges of education contribute to the overall development of the education sector in the country by producing well-trained and qualified teachers who can effectively teach Islamic studies and other subjects in schools. These teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds and values of young students, helping to instill a sense of morality, ethics, and spirituality in their education.
Overall, Islamic colleges of education in Ghana are essential in providing a holistic and well-rounded education that combines academic excellence with Islamic teachings, helping to produce well-rounded individuals who are equipped to contribute positively to society.
And it is for these reasons that the 2024 presidential hopeful on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, former President John Mahama has pledged to support Islamic Colleges of Education with more infrastructure and logistics to enable them to recruit and train more teachers if elected the next president.
Mahama has emphasized the importance of education in the development of the country and the need to invest in training more teachers. He noted that Islamic Colleges of Education play a crucial role in providing quality education to students in the Muslim community and that it is important to support them with the necessary resources to enhance their capacity.
