CTVET releases 2026 results as 62.4% of candidates pass

A total of 62.4% of candidates who sat the 2026 May/June Certificate II and other technical examinations have obtained general passes.

This was disclosed by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) following the release of the provisional examination results.

Out of the 61,506 candidates who took the examinations, 36,874 obtained general passes. The candidates comprised 45,357 males and 16,149 females.

The number of candidates who sat the examinations represents an 11.23% increase over the 55,295 candidates recorded in 2025.

The Certificate II examinations covered core subjects and elective components across various trade and professional areas.

CTVET said six candidates’ results had been withheld pending investigations into suspected examination malpractice.

“The results of some candidates have also been withheld due to administrative issues and will be released once the issues have been resolved.”

Candidates have been advised to check their results using their Index Numbers and Unique Reference Numbers provided on their index slips.

The results are available through the CTVET examination portal.

The 2026 examinations formed part of Ghana’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education and align skills training with the needs of the labour market.

CTVET has been implementing reforms to improve assessment, certification and the quality of skills development in the TVET sector.
