Mawutor Foundation supports a widow with maize donation

The Mawutor Foundation has extended support to a hardworking widow, Miss Catherine Ajo Seade, with the donation of a bag of maize to assist her livelihood and household needs.
The gesture forms part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting widows and vulnerable groups within underserved communities.
Founder of the charity, Mr. David Eyiram Agboado, said he derives fulfilment from helping widows who continue to carry significant responsibilities despite economic hardship.
According to him, the act of giving is not just humanitarian but deeply rooted in his personal values and faith.
“He is always joyful when he puts a smile on the face of a widow,” a statement from the foundation noted. Speaking on the motivation behind the gesture, Mr. Agboado explained that society must not overlook the struggles of widows and persons with disabilities.
He stated: “I advise the public to pay attention to widows and the disabled in our community… because to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi, a little help can be the change we wish to see in the world.”
Mr. Agboado added that the foundation’s work is inspired by his belief in what he calls “true religion,” rooted in the biblical mandate to support widows and orphans. He emphasized that the organisation’s purpose is to contribute to a better future for the people it serves, particularly women who continue to shoulder the weight of caring for their families.
“Donating to widows is one of the goals of my foundation, and I am always motivated to give to a woman who is working very hard to make sure her household is being taken care of,” he said.
Explaining why Miss Catherine Ajo Seade was selected for support, Mr. Agboado highlighted her dedication to her trade as a kenkey seller and her resolve to provide for her family despite significant challenges.
“I found out Miss Catherine is one of the most hardworking widows who trades in kenkey. Her hard work motivated me to be of help to her and her family,” he added.
The foundation says it will continue providing assistance to widows, orphans, and other vulnerable individuals as part of its wider mission to promote compassion, dignity, and community upliftment.
