McBrown declares she won’t marry again after ‘amicable’ divorce

Award-winning actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown has revealed that she has no plans to marry again, citing her personal experiences and views on relationships.
The celebrity made the disclosure during an interview on TV3’s New Day on Wednesday morning, where she reflected on her life after divorce and shared insights into her perspective on marriage.
“I won’t marry again. I’m not sure I’ll marry again. I’ve been married for twelve years,” McBrown said, highlighting the rarity of long-lasting marriages in Ghana’s celebrity circles.
“With this celebrity life we are living here in Ghana, if you see anyone married for that long, you have to applaud them.”
McBrown also spoke about her amicable relationship with her former husband, emphasizing that divorce does not have to end in bitterness.
“I’m also one who is still friends with my husband after a divorce. He still manages my stuffs. I’m also one who visits my matrimonial home after a divorce to eat and dine with the relatives,” she said, stressing that her approach to marriage is rooted in understanding rather than conflict.
She further explained that her decision to remain single reflects her personality and her values. “Marriage is not hate. I’m an understanding person. If you understand me, you’ll understand a lot of things,” McBrown added.
The actress, widely known for her work in film, television, and hosting high-profile shows, has often been in the public eye, both for her professional achievements and her personal life.
Her candid remarks provide a rare glimpse into how she navigates fame, relationships, and personal growth.
McBrown’s comments have sparked conversations on social media, with many fans praising her honesty and approach to life after divorce, while others reflect on cultural expectations around remarriage in Ghana.
With her declaration, McBrown underscores a message that personal happiness and self-respect can take precedence over societal pressures, particularly for women navigating life after marriage.
During the interview, she also indicated that divorce should never define or end anyone’s life, describing herself as happier and stronger after moving on.
