Trade Minister leads Ghana delegation to Osaka World Expo

Ghana is using the Osaka World Expo 2025 to woo investors and deepen international partnerships.
The Trade Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, is leading Ghana’s delegation to the Osaka World Expo, where the country is set to showcase its economic potential and cultural heritage to the global community.
As part of the Expo programme, the Trade Minister will deliver a keynote address during the “Ghana Day Event” on Thursday, September 11, 2025, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama. She will also lead a high-profile business forum and hold bilateral meetings aimed at attracting global investment.
“The Osaka World Expo is a unique stage, and Ghana will use this platform to demonstrate our readiness for trade, innovation, and partnerships,” Hon. Ofosu-Adjare said. “We want the world to know that Ghana is open for business.”
The Ghana Pavilion will serve as the centerpiece of the delegation’s activities, showcasing the country’s hospitality, traditional heritage, and diverse opportunities in agribusiness, industry, digital technology, and infrastructure.
Joining the Trade Minister in Osaka are the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, and the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, who doubles as Ghana’s Commissioner General for the Expo. They are accompanied by senior state officials.
According to the delegation, the presence of Ghana at the Osaka World Expo reflects the government’s determination to expand trade, secure investment, and deepen partnerships with global players.
