Watch Now: Government launches 24-Hour economy policy

The much-anticipated launch of Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy policy is currently underway today, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, marking a major step in the government’s agenda to reshape the nation’s economic landscape.

Happening now at the Accra International Conference Centre, the official rollout of the policy—touted as a “game changer” by the Mahama-led government—has drawn high-level dignitaries, industry players, labour unions, and policymakers.

The initiative, which forms a core part of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, seeks to boost productivity, tackle unemployment, and stimulate economic activity through continuous, shift-based operations in key sectors such as manufacturing, agro-processing, healthcare, retail, and transport.

The policy also promises attractive incentives to businesses, including tax reliefs, stable electricity access, and enhanced nighttime security, to support full-scale participation in the round-the-clock operational model.
