Election 2024 is between truth and lies – Mahama

Truth and lies they say can never dwell in one house because truth has powerful forces on its side, and anyone who trades in falsehood or makes spurious promises will definitely be exposed, which makes lying and deceit terrible for several reasons.

When someone is caught in a lie, it can damage their credibility and reputation. People may be less likely to trust them in the future, both personally and professionally.

Additionally, lying can strain relationships with friends, family, and colleagues. Once trust is broken, it can be difficult to repair the damage and rebuild those relationships.

Constantly lying can lead to feelings of guilt and shame, as the person may struggle with the knowledge that they are being dishonest and deceitful.

Lying can also lead to missed opportunities, as people may be less likely to work with or hire someone they perceive as untrustworthy.

Ghanaians have been lied to by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led administration and they are seething with anger and frustration. The anger of the electorate will be swift, deadly and unforgiving because they have been credited with dishonesty, and the price is going to be paid in full on December 7 because if this government can blithely deceive Ghanaians and dishonour its campaign promises, why could anyone trust it again in 2024?

On the basis of this, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress, former President John Dramani Mahama stated over the weekend during the campaign launch of the National Democratic Congress in Tamale that the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections in Ghana would be between truth and lies.
