‎Asamoah Gyan returns to Black Stars as clubs and player relations manager

‎Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has returned to the Ghana national team setup after being appointed Clubs and Player Relations Manager.
‎
‎The appointment brings Ghana’s all-time leading scorer into the team’s backroom structure, where he will serve as a link between the Black Stars, players and their respective clubs.
‎
‎Gyan’s responsibilities will include strengthening communication with clubs on matters relating to player availability, international call-ups and welfare.
‎
‎He will also work closely with the technical and administrative teams to support the players throughout the national team cycle.
‎
‎Beyond his administrative duties, the former captain is expected to provide mentorship and guidance to the current generation of Black Stars players, drawing on his extensive experience at international level.
‎
‎Gyan, who enjoyed a distinguished career with Ghana, returns to the national team at a crucial period as the Black Stars prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign and other international assignments.
‎
‎His new position allows him to contribute to the Black Stars beyond his playing career while using his experience and leadership to support the team from behind the scenes.
‎
‎The appointment marks a new chapter in Gyan’s long association with the national team as he takes on a player-focused role aimed at improving the connection between the Black Stars and the clubs that provide its players.
