Builsa South: Dr. Apaak promises to fix accommodation crisis for health workers, teachers

The Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has affirmed his commitment to addressing critical accommodation shortages that threaten the retention of health workers and teachers in the constituency.
Speaking at the 2025 Fumbisi FEOK Festival celebration on Sunday, Dr. Apaak emphasized that the lack of adequate housing for frontline professionals continues to undermine effective service delivery in the constituency.
He noted that teachers and health workers often endure difficult living conditions, which affects morale and retention.
“I am committed to working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the accommodation deficit is addressed. Our health workers and teachers deserve decent housing to enable them to serve our communities effectively,” Dr. Apaak stated.
The MP highlighted ongoing engagements with government agencies and development partners to secure resources for new housing projects.
He also pledged to prioritize the rehabilitation of existing facilities to provide immediate relief while long-term solutions are pursued.
Dr. Apaak has a track record of supporting education and health initiatives in Builsa South, including funding for student scholarships and infrastructure improvements.
He urged community members to collaborate in identifying priority needs to expedite solutions.
The MP’s commitment aligns with broader national efforts under the current administration to enhance incentives for workers in deprived areas, including housing allowances and retention programs.
