‘CSSPS is live! Check your ward’s placement, it’s free’ – Dr. Apaak to parents
Dr. Clement Apaak, Deputy Education Minister, says parents and guardians should check the placements of their wards in Senior High Schools following the publication of the placements on the portal.
Writing on his Facebook wall, Dr. Apaak wrote that the website was “live” and parents could check for the various schools of their children.
‘CSSPS is live! Check your ward’s placement,’ he wrote on Wednesday night.
The deputy minister again reminded parents not to pay a pesewa for the placement, as it came at no cost to anyone.
“Placement is free, and checking placement is also free. Don’t pay money to anyone,” he stated.
The Ghana Education Service (GES), which scheduled the release date for 17th September, 2025, had given candidates a week to verify their details on the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal ahead of the announcement.
According to the GES, parents and guardians can access their placements via cssps.gov.gh where they can also resolve concerns.
Last week, the Education Ministry released a video guiding learners on how to navigate their way on the portal.
On the home page, they may choose from options including, Choices Confirmation, Check Placement or Self Placement.
After the candidates have selected their preferred option, they log in with their index number and date of birth which must be the same as the one provided during the BECE registration. If successful, they will gain access to the information they seek.
