Dr. Apaak loses father

Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has announced the passing of his father, Mr. John Azundem Apaak.
Mr. Apaak passed away earlier today, November 4, 2025, at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital. He was 81 years old.
In a statement issued by the family, Dr. Apaak described his late father as a man of faith and a devoted pastor of the Deeper Life Church in Bolgatanga.
“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our beloved father, Mr. John Azundem Apaak. He passed on to glory earlier today, November 4th, 2025, at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital,” the statement read.
“Baba, as we affectionately called him, celebrated his 81st birthday on the 25th of October 2025. As a man of faith and a Deeper Life pastor, we have informed the Deeper Life church in Bolgatanga. We ask the public to respect our privacy in this challenging time,” he added.
The family further appealed for prayers for Mr. Apaak’s widow, who is 76 years old, as well as his children and grandchildren.
“We ask that you remember his wife, our 76-year-old mother, his grandchildren, and the five of us, Clement, Daniel, Anthony, Margaret, and Abel, in prayer. We are grateful for his life. Rest in Peace, Baba,” the family’s message appealed.
Mr. Apaak was widely respected in his community for his humility, dedication to the Christian faith, and service as a pastor.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
