Dr. Apaak supports Buterisa CHIPS Compound to purchase delivery kits

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South constituency, Hon. Clement Apaak has donated an amount of three thousand Ghana cedis (GH 3,000) to the health committee of Buterisa to enable them to purchase delivery kits for the chips compound.
As part of a requirement to have a midwife posted to the CHPS compound, the facility needs to have a set of delivery kits at the center.
The health committee of the area appealed to the MP through the NDC in the constituency chairman to aid them in purchasing delivery kits.
Donating the cash amount on behalf of the Member of Parliament, the communication officer of the NDC used the medium to reiterate the commitment of the MP to ensuring that qu quality health delivery is brought to the doorsteps of every community in the District.
The communication officer, Mr. Adams Kamara used the occasion to state the history and rationale behind the establishment of CHPS compounds across the country.
Mr. Kamara stated that the erstwhile Mills- -Mahama NDC administration agreed that NDC MP and Presidential staffers contribute ten percent (10%) of their monthly salaries for the construction of CHPS compounds across the country including the Buterisa CHPS compound.
The deputy women’s organizer Madam Elizabeth Kabatch who accompanied the communication officer thanked the health committee and the community for the support given to the nurses in the community.
She also called for more collaboration between the communities the nurses and the MP in improving health delivery in the area.
Mr Robert, the disease control officer who represented the District health director thanked the MP for his timely intervention and promised to put the resources into good use.
The sub-chief of the area thanked the MP on behalf of his people. Like Oliver Twist is asking for more support.
