The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak has launched youth in apprenticeship program for the constituency.
“The 29th day of March, 2024, was indeed considered as one of the happiest days for constituents of Builsa South as 113 young Men and Women were offered the opportunity to be trained in ten (10) different trade disciplines which includes; hairdressing, dressmaking, welding and fabrication, carpentering & Joining, auto mechanics, air conditioning and fridge repairs, mansonry and vulganizing.
“The Beneficiaries were provided with training tools and equipment valued over GHS 150,000.00 with cost of training being GHS 64,330.00 already paid to the master trainers by the Hon. Apaak,” the Regional Communication Officer for Upper East region, (RCO-UER) Jonathan Abdalla Salifu disclosed in a statement.
Addressing his audience at the colourful event, Hon. Dr. Clement Abasinab Apaak reiterated his desire as an accomplished educationist to provide the needed support to constituents in all spheres of life and not to give priority attention to only formal education seekers to the disadvantage of other areas of life.
The Builsa South Law Maker further disclosed that the instant intervention is coming on the back of others including financial supports to about 236 students last year.
