Dr. Pelpuo commissions El-Sayus office, lauds company for job creation

The Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment, Hon. Pelpuo Hassan Abdul-Rashid, has officially commissioned the new Adjiriganor office of El-Sayus Company Limited.
The event highlighted the company’s contribution to national employment and the private sector’s growing role in Ghana’s job creation drive.
The minister commended El-Sayus for its nationwide workforce of 700 employees, describing the initiative as a meaningful step toward reducing unemployment. He said the development reflects how private companies can complement the government’s efforts to expand economic opportunities.
He emphasized that the welfare and safety of workers must remain a top priority. “Workers are properly taken care of, with a secure workplace, good health, and protection from diseases,” he stated. “People work to improve their families’ lives and take care of their health, and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that workers are protected.”
The ceremony was themed “Amplifying the 24-Hour Sustainable Jobs and Employment through Modern Professional Sanitation Programs.”
The focus aligns with the government’s agenda to create decent, sustainable employment under President John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy initiative.
El-Sayus Company Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Archibald Darko-Boateng, reaffirmed the company’s support for the policy, saying it fits well with their operational structure. He noted that with its experience in round-the-clock services, the company is ready to help expand job opportunities for Ghanaians willing to work flexible hours.
He further described the 24-hour economy initiative as “very great” and said El-Sayus remains committed to supporting the government’s vision.
Mr. Darko-Boateng expressed optimism that a stable business environment would enable companies like El-Sayus to expand and create more jobs across the country.
