Global InfoAnalytics tips Bawumia to win NPP Primaries

Global InfoAnalytics’ final poll ahead of the January 31 NPP presidential primaries projects former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the clear front-runner.
The research firm released the findings on its social media platforms, describing the survey as its last assessment of the race before delegates cast their ballots.
Using a committed voter model, the poll places Dr. Bawumia at 48 percent, opening a wide lead over businessman and former Assin Central MP Kennedy Osei Agyapong, who polled 25 percent.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong trails with 6 percent, while Education Minister Yaw Adutwum records 1 percent. Kwabena Agyapong registers 0 percent, with 21 percent of respondents either undecided or unwilling to disclose their preference.
The regional breakdown highlights the depth of Dr. Bawumia’s support across the country. He records commanding margins in the North East Region (80 percent), Northern Region (64 percent), Upper West (67 percent) and Savannah (56 percent). He also leads comfortably in several traditionally influential regions, including Ashanti (49 percent), Bono (47 percent), Bono East (46 percent) and Greater Accra (44 percent).
Kennedy Agyapong’s strongest showing comes from the Central Region, where he leads with 46 percent, ahead of Dr. Bawumia’s 30 percent. He also performs strongly in Volta (39 percent), Western (40 percent) and Upper East (37 percent), underscoring pockets of solid backing despite trailing nationally.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s support remains in single digits across all regions, with his best performance recorded in the Savannah Region at 14 percent. Yaw Adutwum posts marginal figures nationwide, peaking at 2 percent in Western North, while Kwabena Agyapong fails to gain measurable support in any region covered by the poll.
Undecided voters remain relatively high in regions such as Bono East (38 percent), Oti (33 percent) and Volta (32 percent), suggesting late shifts are still possible.
However, the overall spread of the results indicates that even a significant movement among undecided delegates may not be enough to overturn the current gap.
The January 31 contest will determine the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general election, with the Global InfoAnalytics poll pointing to Dr. Bawumia entering voting day as the candidate to beat.
