NDC Election: Amos Blessing qualifies, secures No. 2 spot on ballot

Amos Blessing Amorse has successfully passed vetting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Secretary position, securing the number two spot on the ballot.
Mr. Amorse, who currently serves as the party’s Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser, announced his ballot position in a Facebook post, describing it as the beginning of his campaign journey.

“I’m very clear in my mind what I intend, with the support of other Executives and blessings of God, to do with the Regional Secretariat. Mine is not try and error. I’ve spent eight productive and eventful years at the Region. I understand it’s dynamics, in all humility, better.
No objective analyst would downplay my efforts in the journey from 2018 to 2024 that delivered resounding victory in Greater Accra. I’m set and ready for the task. Productive week.”
Mr. Amorse, who was recently called to the Ghana Bar, is seeking to become the party’s Greater Accra Regional Secretary after serving as Regional Youth Organiser.
The contest forms part of the NDC’s 2026 internal reorganisation and executive elections, which are intended to renew party leadership at constituency, regional and national levels ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The party’s timetable schedules regional executive elections for November 14 and 15, 2026, following vetting and an appeals process.
About 830 aspirants have reportedly picked nomination forms to contest various positions in the Greater Accra regional elections.
