NDC opens national executive nominations October 20 ahead of December polls

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled Tuesday, October 20, 2026, for the opening of nominations for its national executive elections, with the party set to elect new national officers on December 12, 2026.
According to a statement issued by the party on Friday, October 16, nominations will open at 7:00 a.m. on October 20 and close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21.
The exercise will follow the timetable outlined in an earlier notice released by the party on August 5, 2026, as preparations advance towards the December polls.
The NDC has encouraged members intending to contest the various national executive positions to complete the nomination process within the designated period.
It has also outlined payment procedures for prospective candidates, directing that payments for nomination forms and filing be made through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, Mobile Money on all networks, or Visa and MasterCard.
The party has cautioned that bank payments and bank drafts will not be accepted.
Under the eligibility requirements, aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must be party members in good standing and have settled their membership dues in full.
Members with outstanding arrears are required to clear them through 92025# or the party’s website, ndc.org.gh/dues.
The party has further urged all participants to maintain discipline and respect its democratic principles throughout the electoral process.
“The Party counts on the full cooperation and support of all members to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful electoral process,” the statement said.
The release was signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary.
The nomination comes on the back of the December 12 elections, which will determine the NDC’s national executive leadership, which is responsible for overseeing the party’s administration and organisation ahead of the 2028 elections.
