‘We have professional synergy driving the Ministry of Education’ – Aide

The Special Aide to Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, Samson Samari, says there is a strong professional working relationship that continues to exist between the Deputy Minister and his boss, the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.
This follows a video circulating on social media featuring commentary by broadcaster Kelvin Taylor, which suggested that there may be challenges in the working relationship between the two senior officials at the Ministry of Education.
In a statement signed by Mr. Samari, he described the claims as speculative and inconsistent with the reality within the Ministry.
“Such commentary is speculative and does not reflect the professional synergy currently driving the Ministry of Education,” the statement said.
The Office emphasised that the Minister for Education has consistently provided a collaborative and inclusive working environment, contrary to suggestions made in the video.
According to the statement, the Deputy Minister maintains the highest level of respect for the Minister’s leadership and remains fully committed to working with him to advance the Ministry’s agenda.
It stressed that at no point has Dr. Apaak expressed any grievance, either privately or publicly, regarding his role or the delegation of responsibilities within the Ministry.
The Office further noted that claims circulating on social media misrepresent the internal dynamics of the Ministry and risk misleading the public.
“The comments made in the video do not represent the views, sentiments, or experiences of the Deputy Minister,” the statement added.
The Office said the Ministry continues to operate with unity of purpose, driven by professionalism and mutual respect among its leadership.
It also urged the public to disregard what it described as misinformation contained in the video, noting that such narratives detract from the Ministry’s focus on delivering quality education outcomes for the country.
According to the statement, the current leadership arrangement at the Ministry is defined by cooperation, shared responsibility, and a collective commitment to national development through education.
The Office reaffirmed that Dr. Apaak remains fully aligned with the Minister’s vision and leadership and continues to contribute actively to the Ministry’s work.
