We want a generation that creates opportunities for others – Dr. Apaak

Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has challenged young Ghanaians to develop the skills and mindset needed to become innovators and entrepreneurs capable of creating employment opportunities for others.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Springforth Community School on Saturday, Dr. Apaak said Ghana’s investment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and digital transformation is intended to prepare students for the demands of the future economy.
“As a nation, Ghana continues to invest in STEM education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and digital transformation because we recognise that our future prosperity depends on the talents and skills of our young people,” he said.
According to him, the country’s development depends on nurturing a generation equipped with creativity, innovation and problem-solving abilities.
“We want a generation that does not only seeks employment but also creates opportunities for others. We want innovators, entrepreneurs, problem-solvers, and leaders who will help drive Ghana’s development,” Dr. Apaak stated.
He urged the graduating students to begin preparing for the future by making the right choices today.
“The future begins with the choices you make today. The discipline you develop today. The books you read today. The skills you acquire today. The values you embrace today,” he said.
Dr. Apaak encouraged the graduands to pursue excellence, uphold integrity and dedicate their knowledge and skills to national development.
He concluded by reminding the students that true success is measured by the positive impact they make in the lives of others and in the development of Ghana.
