Ayine to brief public on ORAL investigations today

Dr. Dominic Ayine
The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, is set to hold a media briefing today, Monday, March 24, to update the public on the ongoing investigations and actions taken under the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative.
According to the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the briefing is a significant step towards transparency and accountability in the fight against corruption. The ORAL Committee’s report, submitted to President Mahama in February, revealed over 2,000 complaints of suspected corruption, prompting the President to direct Dr. Ayine to launch immediate investigations.
President Mahama emphasized that Ghana will no longer be a safe haven for corruption, demonstrating the government’s commitment to tackling this issue. The briefing today is expected to shed light on the progress made so far and the actions being taken to address the complaints of corruption.
The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative is a government-led effort to recover stolen assets and combat corruption. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen institutions, improve transparency, and promote accountability in Ghana.
As the Attorney General prepares to brief the public today, many are eagerly awaiting updates on the investigations and actions being taken to address corruption in Ghana.
