Ghanaians must reject Bawumia at the polls over his inconsistency on Free SHS – Apaak

The deputy ranking Member on the Education Committee in Parliament, Dr Clement Apaak has called on the Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his inconsistency on the Free Senior High School policy.
In a terse, the deputy ranking Member on Education indicated that former President John Mahama has stated his position on the Free SHS policy and has been consistent but that cannot be said about Dr. Bawumia.
“Unlike DMB, who is morbidly afraid to tell Ghanaians that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government told the IMF that the government will review and rationalise the Free Senior High School Programme; page 76, paragraph 47 in the first review report, JDM has been faithful to the truth and his promise to constitute a national stakeholders forum as a first step towards reviewing the Free Senior High School Programme to make it better.
“Get this, DMB was the highest-ranking government official to have participated in the review meeting with the IMF, during which the government told the IMF it would review and rationalise the Free Senior High School Programme,” Dr. Apaak stated.
He continued: “The question is, why will DMB and NPP comfortably tell the IMF that they will review and rationalize the Free Senior High School Programme yet tell Ghanaians it doesn’t require a review. Reject lies, reject DMB, reject NPP.”
