I have NDC membership card – Koku Anyidoho

Founder and President of the Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has firmly rejected claims that he has been suspended or expelled from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that he remains a fully recognised member of the party.
He says suggestions that he no longer belongs to the NDC are false and not backed by any official record or communication from the party’s leadership.
“Contrary to some opinions, I am still in the NDC; I have a membership card. Somebody said so (that I was suspended) without any documentary evidence. That is politics,” he said.
Mr. Anyidoho explained that despite public debate about his political standing, he continues to go about his work and civic responsibilities without any restriction or interference from the party.
He cited his involvement with the Christian Council, which has included official national engagements, some of which required access to the seat of government.
“People don’t even know that last year I went to the Flagstaff House. Because I am working with the Christian Council, and we had to go to the Flagstaff House, and nobody stopped me from entering,” he added in an interview with Channel One TV.
He stressed that such experiences reflect his continued acceptance in public and institutional spaces, contrary to perceptions that he has been isolated politically.
Mr. Anyidoho also made it clear that he does not confine his relationships to one political tradition, saying he maintains open and cordial interactions with individuals across Ghana’s political divide.
According to him, his approach is guided by personal relationships and national service rather than partisan barriers.
“On the same ticket, we went to Dr Bawumia (NPP’S 2028 flagbearer), Thanksgiving service, which they want to do propaganda with,” he noted.
“I will associate with everybody, I will associate with Dr Bawumia, I will associate with Nana Addo, I will associate with Gabby Otchere Darko, and anybody who gives me the door, I will associate.”
The former Director of Communications and Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, as well as a former aide to the late President John Evans Atta Mills, said he is aware of narratives suggesting he has been sidelined within the party in recent years.
However, he insisted that such perceptions do not reflect his current status or engagement, stressing that he remains a committed member of the NDC and continues to align with its values and ideals.
