Mawutor Foundation for Widow and Blind donates to less privilege in Abeka

Nine years ago, David Eyiram Agboado founded Mawutor Foundation for Widows and the Blind after having watched his mother toil in a commercial kitchen for years after the death of her husband.
As he grew up admiring her diligence in providing for her family with no financial support from any other source, David knew from a young age that he wanted to honor her legacy of hard work, strength and perseverance.
David knows the plight of strong widows and the disabled, so on many occasions, he has given all he has in support of a woman who is working hard to raise a family on her own. This time is no exception. As of late, David has been facing financial challenges of his own.
His car has stopped, he was almost homeless with his two children and at times has only had a bag of rice with which to feed them.
Yet, David’s instinct is not to hold back in his giving, but to store up more treasure in heaven by offering all he has to a widow in need. A young mother gratefully accepted David’s token of love today at Mawutor Foundation.

According to him, the Foundation has donated to a couple of widows so far through resources from the Royal Crown Recruitment Agency.
He said Royal Crown Recruitment has been in the system for five years and management has resolved to give 10% of each recruitment to finance Mawutor Foundation for Widows and Blind.
The CEO indicated that recruitment agency does thorough checks on persons they recruit and called on the public to patronize their services so that the agency can help the widows and the blind.
“We’ve helped some of the widows with capital to invest in the small business they are engaged in.
“The source of funding is my business which is a recruitment agency, we recruit nannies, cleaners and homecare nurses so whatever we get from that we give ten percent from that to the widows and the blind,” he explained.
Mr. Agboado said since charity begins from home the Foundation has commenced its donation in the community it was founded.
“So far we have donated to almost ten widows in our community but the dream for this Foundation is to target widows and blind not only in Ghana but across Africa and the world at large,” he added.
The CEO further explained that some of the items they donate include cash, rice, toiletries, and water as well as washed clothes.
