Builsa South District Assembly: I will promote inclusiveness – John Aniabawie Asuaga

The presiding member for the Builsa South District Assembly, John Aniabawie Asuaga, has promised to promote inclusiveness.

In his acceptance speech, he commended the Member of Parliament for Builsa South who doubles as deputy minister for education, Dr. Clement Apaak, and members of the assembly for their immense support.

“I will promote inclusiveness and ensure that every voice; whether elected or appointed is heard and respected in this august House. We may come from different electoral areas and political backgrounds, but we are united by one purpose: the development and well-being of the people we serve.

“Colleague Hon. Members, the journey ahead will not always be smooth. However, with unity, cooperation, commitment, and a shared vision, we can overcome every challenge. Let us recommit ourselves to the core values of transparency, accountability, and hard work. Let us be bold in our decisions, firm in our principles, and humble in our leadership”, he added.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH BY HON. JOHN ANIABAWIE ASUAGA, PRESIDING FOR BUILSA SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

Honourable Assembly Members, Hon Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Education, the Honourable Regional Minister, Hon. District Chief Executive nominee, The coordinating Director, Distinguished Guests, Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning.

I am here before you today deeply humbled and greatly honoured by the confidence you have reposed in me through my election as the Presiding Member of the Builsa South District Assembly. I accept this responsibility with a heart full of gratitude and a mind fully committed to service.

Let me begin by thanking the Almighty God for making this day successful, I also thank all Hon. Assembly Members for the trust you have shown in me. Your votes today are not just a mark of support but a call to duty; a call I do not take lightly. I am grateful for your belief in my leadership and I pledge to work with all of you, in unity and mutual respect, for the progress and development of our beloved district.

I also extend my appreciation to our Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Education, the nominee for the District Chief Executive, the Coordinating Director, and all staff of the Assembly for their continuous dedication to public service. Your hard work forms the backbone of our local governance system and I look forward to working closely with all of you to deepen decentralization and improve service delivery in every corner of Builsa South District.

As your Presiding Member, I will ensure that Assembly sittings are conducted with fairness, openness, and integrity. I will promote inclusiveness and ensure that every voice; whether elected or appointed is heard and respected in this august House.
