Mahama’s Nat’l Education Forum reset agenda unfolding, commendable, – Dr. Apaak

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak says President John Mahama’s move for National Education Forum is commendable.
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed an eight-member committee to organize the National Education Forum, fulfilling his pledge to the people of Ghana.
In a statement signed by the acting spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu disclosed that the committee will be chaired by former Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor George K. T. Oduro.
Other members are Professor Goski Alabi, Professor Rosemary Bosu, Samuel Awuku, Ph.D, and Professor Smile Dzisi. The rest are Kofi Asare, Stephen Owusu, and Inusah Shiraz.
In a tweet, the Builsa South lawmaker explained that the President’s reset to build the “Ghana we want agenda is unfolding in the education sector”
“The reset to build the Ghana we want agenda is unfolding in the education sector as well.
“President Mahama has selected some of the best in the sector to plan the National Education Forum he pledged. Most commendable”, Dr. Apaak stated.
Meanwhile, the President’s acting spokesperson indicated that the Committee has two weeks to submit its report and plan.
They are to develop a theme and sub-themes to guide stakeholder engagement.
“Identify key stakeholders in the education sector, including students, parents, teachers (pre-tertiary and tertiary, including the private sector), researchers, civil society organizations, development partners, religious bodies, political parties, Ghanaian educational researchers in the diaspora, chiefs, heads of educational institutions, Parliamentary Select Committee on Education etc. to be invited as participants”, Mr. Kwakye added.
