You have what it takes to succeed with integrity – Dr. Apaak to 2025 WASSCE candidtes

As thousands of students across the country sit for the 2025 WASSCE, the Ministry of Education is urging all stakeholders to embrace a culture of integrity and protect the credibility of the national examination system.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Minister, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, he appealed to all teaching and non-teaching staff to refrain from any conduct that could compromise the examination.
“There must be zero tolerance for exam malpractice across the country; the young ones must grow in integrity and let no one of them be associated with exam malpractice,” the Minister stressed.
The message was part of a comprehensive statement issued to mark the beginning of the examination on August 5, warning staff—both teaching and non-teaching—not to indulge in malpractice or facilitate cheating in any form.
“You have been employed to nurture, guide, and support students in their academic journey, not to compromise their future,” Dr. Apaak emphasized.
The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with WAEC, the Ghana Education Service, and security agencies, has ramped up surveillance and monitoring to prevent exam irregularities.
According to the Ministry, staff who breach the rules will face disciplinary actions ranging from dismissal to criminal prosecution. The statement also called on stakeholders to be alert and report any suspicious behavior.
Meanwhile, a message of encouragement was sent to all candidates, urging them to stay focused, confident, and to trust in their preparation.
“You have what it takes to succeed with integrity. Believe in yourselves, and go into the examination room knowing that your best effort is enough,” the Ministry said.
As the exams unfold, all eyes will be on the enforcement of this strict posture and whether the 2025 WASSCE will pass the test of credibility.
