Asiedu Nketiah urges NDC Members to unite behind Mahama

The NDC Chairman says internal fights could derail progress.
National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has appealed to party members to remain united and give their full backing to President John Dramani Mahama as his administration continues to deliver on campaign promises.
Speaking on Thursday, September 18, during his “thank you tour” at Abotakyi in the Akuapem North Constituency of the Eastern Region, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah urged members to put aside personal ambitions and disagreements for the greater good of the party and the country.
“In what way can we ensure the party is not put to shame? We will be ashamed if we are unable to fulfill our promises,” he cautioned. “Fortunately, we have a good president who has already begun delivering on those promises.”
He highlighted the progress made under President Mahama’s leadership, stressing that achieving the NDC’s vision requires continued unity and commitment from all members.
“What remains is for us to be united as a party and throw our weight behind him so he can complete the task,” he said.
The National Chairman further warned that infighting and divisions within the party could derail progress and harm its image.
“If we fail to do that—if we start fighting and creating division simply because we didn’t get what we wanted—then when things go wrong, all of us will be affected,” he added.
