Volta Regional NDC Chairman commends Mahama for a strong start in govt

The Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mawutor Agbavitor, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for his swift and decisive actions since returning to office.
Mr. Agbavitor further stated that residents of the region should be reassured that better days lie ahead.
Comrade Agbavitor highlighted Mahama’s commitment to addressing long-standing challenges in the Volta Region, emphasizing that the President’s recent initiatives signal a promising trajectory for development and social welfare.
One of the key actions drawing commendation is the government’s allocation of GH¢242.5 million to support victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage and an additional GH¢200 million for relief efforts in communities affected by tidal waves, such as Agavedzi, Amutsinu, Salakope, and Adina in the Ketu South Constituency.
Comrade Agbavitor described these interventions as “bold and compassionate,” underscoring Mahama’s dedication to fulfilling campaign promises and addressing the immediate needs of affected communities.
Beyond disaster relief, President Mahama has outlined a comprehensive development agenda for the Volta Region — During his “Thank You” tour in Ho, President Mahama pledged to prioritize infrastructural projects, including the completion of the Ho-Denu Road and the revitalization of the Ho Airport, with plans to establish a pilot training school at the facility.
The NDC Chairman expressed optimism about the future under Mahama’s leadership, stating that the President’s actions reflect a governance approach that prioritizes human development, economic resilience, and social justice, while urging residents to have confidence in the NDC administration’s commitment to development and social welfare, assuring them that their concerns would continue to be addressed.
As the NDC government under President Mahama embarks on its development agenda, the Volta Region anticipates significant progress in infrastructure, economic empowerment, and social welfare, reinforcing the region’s longstanding support for the party.
